Lady Meyer Catherine decided several years ago to raise the profile of child abduction as an issue that requires urgent international attention. In April 1999, she co-founded the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) and a year later, she set up her own organisation, PACT, which works in close association with ICMEC. She has appeared many times on British, American and French television and has been invited to give evidence before the US Senate and House of Representatives, and the Belgian Senate. In 1999, she received the Adam Walsh Rainbow Award for her outstanding contribution to children's causes. |
